Festival Named In MSN Summer Festivals
Our Festival was chosen as THE North Carolina summer festival by MSN. Only one festival per state was chosen for their summer listing.
We always knew we had a treasure in the NC Department of the American Legion 7th Inning Stretch Festival, now the rest of the country knows. Text from the listing: North Carolina: 7th-Inning Stretch Festival Country superstar Martina McBride headlines this year’s 7th-Inning Stretch Festival, a baseball-themed event hosted by the American Legion World Series. Among the free events scheduled for Aug. 10 in Shelby are the Little Miss American Legion Beauty Pageant, a 5K, and, of course, a performance by Martina McBride. There are also contests, prizes, carnival food, a kids zone, and plenty more.
